Coloring tips

Apply a gradient of gray and brown on the dwarf's thick tunic to give it a look worn out by work in the mine. Use metallic shades to make the pickaxe and the gold nuggets hidden in the rocks in the background shine.

Color ideas

Favor earthy tones such as ochre, brown, and slate gray, then add bright touches of golden yellow for the gems and the miner's lamp.

Extra activity

Ask your child to tell the story of the treasure this dwarf has just discovered. You can also look together for photos of real minerals to get inspiration for the colors of the precious stones.
